Assignment 2- Journal Article

You are required to write a Journal Article (discussion paper) which demonstrates a critical evaluation of any contemporary aspect of relevance to food systems and policy. Further detail regarding the format will be provided during the module sessions.

The discussion paper should include the following:

  • Background and understanding of the topic and the selected issue (definitions, historical development literature and current arguments.)
  • Critical justification of the importance and impact of the selected issue on the various stakeholders involved
  • Critical analysis and evaluation of the chosen issue and its influence in and impact on the food chain and nutrition
  • Possible responses and appropriate theoretical ideas/frameworks/policies to arrive at a conclusion and recommendations if appropriate.
