Start-Up Business Plan

Start-Up Business Plan Each student will develop a plan for a start-up business. The business may be a retail store, manufacturing operation, service company or any business of interest to the student, including a franchise or home-based business. The only specific requirement is that the business be a sustainable business operation, and that the business plan incorporates the principles the student has learned throughout the MBA program. The length of the paper will vary based on the level of detail (generally 12–18 pages of single-spaced text). The specific sections of the business plan will include the following:  Cover page  Executive summary  Corporate description  Corporate mission and vision  Corporate name and ownership structure  Proposed product/business services  External market analysis o Competitive analysis o Market segmentation analysis o Target market segmentation o Product/service opportunities o Demand projections/buying patterns/seasonality o Trends for product/service o Geographic strategy  Competitive advantages  Sales strategy o Marketing strategy o Pricing strategy o Target market strategy o Advertising strategy o Distribution strategy  Sales forecast  Management and personnel plan o Personnel benefits and costs  Corporate governance  Government/environmental concerns  Risks  Financial plan o Start-up costs o Projected capital requirements o First-year projected profit and loss o First-year balance sheet by month o Three-year projected profit and loss

PLEASE NOTE: I WOULD LIKE THE BUSINESS PLAN TO BE AN ONLINE E COMMERCE WEBSITE. SECONDLY, THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY MUST BE AN OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS AND THE BUSINESS OPERATION. FINALLY, I WOULD LIKE 8 POWER POINT SLIDES DONE. THESE SLIDES WILL BE A SUMMARY OF THE BUSINESS….THESE SLIDES I WILL NEED IN ORDER TO GIVE AN ORAL PRESENTATION.

THE SLIDES SHOULD OR COULD BE BULLET POINTS OUTLINED IN THE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY. SLIDES SHOULD BE SHORT AND GOOD……..8 SLIDES
