ABSTRACT
This project report enumerates in details the steps and stages taken in the design and building of a dc to ac 3- phase inverter which was used to demonstrate a power electronics engineering systems to a class of 3rd year students, and mainly reflect the project analysis and management.
It reflects the design, build, resources and different solutions proffered. The justification of chosen solution, analysis used to decide project option, progress report and goal setting as part of project implementation are reflectively considered.
Also it considers project communication systems in the form of group meetings, sharing data on black board and from the guide line of teachers. Which were a tool for overcoming unforeseen circumstances in project design, implementation and interpretation of test results with respect to challenges encountered as well as actions taken as a result of investigative findings.
The prototype was designed on computer using the pspice (ECAD) software under the supervised conditions.
The design proposal (inverter circuit), product construction and product presentations work as part of deliverables to approve product effective operation and test result from customers (in this case the students) for product satisfaction confirmation are considered as well as challenges, inspirations and project management skills.
Furthermore Health and Safety is considered throughout the design and implementation periods of the project with respect to timing.
