ONE 1) The Lane Library in Oxford is expanding its programs for the fall of 2013. 2) One new program is called, Book Buddies. 3) In this program, adults read childrens books to patients in the Pediatric Unit of McCullough-Hyde Hospital. 4) Library Director Joan Smith said the library also is trying to find volunteers who speak Spanish in order to help with other library programs. 5) Smith said library administrators want to add Spanish-language stories to the English-language stories now available on tape and need volunteers to record the stories.

TWO 1) Miami University is planning to build a new residence hall. 2) The university has raised $4 million toward the projected cost of $8 million, and earlier this year administrators applied for federal funding. 3) Yesterday, at a meeting of the universitys Board of Trustees, it was announced the federal funds agreed to give Miami the most it requested. 4) The federal grant totals $4 million. 5) Construction will start in early 2014. 6) The new residence hall will be built near Harrison Hall in Central Quad. 7) The building will be able to house 400 students.
