I would like for you to write 250-500 words using the following Questions as prompts. This will be over the first half (Chapters 1-4) in your Station Eleven Book. Please make sure that you do not put your work in the comments section. I can’t grade them if you put them there.
a. Pick a character from the novel and write about what motivates that character.
b. Pick a character with an opposing motivation. Write about that character.
c. Why did the author employ an end of the word scenario? What did this allow her to “do” with the characters?

Please complete a Quote Book Entry for Station Eleven Part One (Chapters 1-4)
Perhaps take a look back at our chat and try to find some good themes to look for. I would also read up some on the book before you start it. There are a lot of possible themes in this book. It features both large “world ending” scenarios, as well as small interpersonal conflicts. Remember that what you are looking for will be up to you. I’d try to find something that you might be able to find in our next book too. Doing this will help you write your paper. A few ideas: The Role of the “Father”, The Travel Narrative, The Role of Art as Central to Life, The Role of the “Out of Control” or Runaway event, How Physical Motivation affects Emotional Motivation (or vice versa), The Shrinking World. Or any one of the many great ideas you came up with during chat! Please make sure that type your quote book work into the appropriate window; it makes it very hard to grade if you don’t.
