Journal Article Evaluation

Students are required to summarise, with proper referencing, the key elements of a Randomised Controlled Trial Research Design.

Students are to submit articles for review  with a brief identification and description of the key elements in each article that classify it as a Randomised Controlled Trial.

Students are to summarise their selected TWO articles using  the following headings: 1. Population of Interest
2. Inclusion & exclusion criteria
3. Sampling Method
4. Sample size5. Allocation Method
6. Treatment and Control Groups
7. Type of blinding
8. Overall study outcomes.
Each article must be separately and succinctly summarised. As the aim of this assignment is identify the main characteristics of each selected RCT, the summary of each article should be brief. One of the following formats should be selected:

a table; or·
a flowchart·
