I’ve been learning Spanish about 4 months now, and what I’ve learned from my teacher and textbooks is that the subjunctive relates to uncertainty, desire, subjectivity, etc.

HOWEVER, I am on a blog of what seems to be knowledgeable smart teachers that claim its not about that. That subjunctive is about ‘declarations’. I was hoping you could read this thread and give me your thoughts:
