MGT 502 Assignment 1 Student name- Faisal Aslam Student ID- A0000 INITIAL STATEMENT OF INTENT Introduction: The term business can be interpreted in a variety of ways. A company or an enterprising individual engaged in commercial, manufacturing, or professional activities is referred to as cooperation. Business may be for profit or non-profit entities devoted to a charitable project or a social cause. Individuals coordinated efforts and activities to manufacture and sell products and services for profit are often referred to as “business”. A sole proprietorship to a multinational company are both examples of businesses of various sizes. Teamwork is an important aspect of many businesses since it is always vital for employees to work well together and give their all in any situation. In the following paragraphs I will address my reasons, expectations and motivations for selecting Masters of Business Information Systems (MBIS). This course connects the application of information and technology in Business. Studying this course will be remarkably beneficial for me because, I can rigorously learn different components of the business studies. I am Faisal Aslam. I have successfully completed Masters of Business Administration (MBA) back in my home country. I have chosen Masters of Business Information Systems in order to improve and potentially employ my business skills. I am highly interested and passionate in owning my own business in the future. With studying subjects such as Data Modelling and Database Design, Foundations of Information System, and Data Management, I will be able to successfully accomplish my intended outcomes. To make sure I meet my goals, I will conduct proper assessments and have discussions/debates with my peers about various characteristics of business. Furthermore, to secure future outcomes MBIS will assist to gain the knowledge and skills to solve business related problems. Through MBIS I will gain the knowledge of system analysis and design, IT Management and Project Management. In order to reach future outcomes, it is highly crucial to analyse and monitor my studies in order to obtain the completion of my course successfully. After flourishingly completing this course. I look forward to put into practice this all in my future as a successful IT Professional in business. The knowledge I gained from Masters of Business Information Systems will be handy in the following ways: • To participate in business information management practise at a degree of scope and complexity comparable to that of a senior professional. Demonstrate a technology independent view of business information systems.Implement professional, social, ethical and communication skills in an organisational setting and manage complexity in real world settings.Powerful communication skills and critical thinking. Conclusion: Overall, my reasons for taking this course as stated clearly in the preceding paragraph. With my hard work and the support of my professors and colleagues, I hope to achieve the best possible results at the end of the course. As a result of this course, I intent to become a knowledgeable IT specialist. After completing this course, I will have a better understanding of how technology can be combined with communication and environment to create a successful company. My first aim is to understand the most important aspects of running a company that can be organised using information technology. I may work as a market analyst as well as record keeper.
