Students should use their current place of employment or own business as the case-study business scenario for this report. (If a student is not currently employed and/or is unable to obtain access to a business model, information about a hypothetical business and the context in which it operates will be supplied to the student for case-study purposes. The Case Study Communications report will be based on how you show connection between specific theory in the COM100 course/literature (secondary research) and your employment/ business information (primary research). Report Outline/ Chronological Study Plan Part One: Secondary Research (Lecture notes, textbook, own academic research in journals/books) of the prescribed textbook from Weeks 1 to 5, Mohan et al nd professional practice -verbal communication: meanings without words pick up to ten(10) theories/concepts covered over the five week period (example concept: Week 3- Non Verbal Communication –facial expression p65) for academic journals on the selected theory/concept. You will use this as evidence (as quotations and paraphrases) to support your argument position/hypothesis in the report.
