SHORT PAPER 3000 words
The subject of the short paper should fall under one of the following headings:
• financial modelling,
• decision support systems,
• spreadsheet modelling,
• databases, knowledge-based systems,
• intelligent systems
The objective would be to research a particular area, (read say 4 or 5 academic papers) and produce an original, informed and clearly presented summary with references and where possible copies of source papers. Proposed topics (a title and a couple of introductory paragraphs).
For example: research CRM practices as described in 4-5 academic papers and explain how they are using financial models like : scenario management, sensitivity analysis using data tables, tornado diagrams, Monte Carlo simulation, RISK analysis using @RISK, investment criteria based on NPV analysis and IRR (Internal rate of return).
