Determining factors in Electric Circuits

Determining factors in Electric Circuits

1. Find the equivalent impedance ZAB for the circuit
1.

2. Determine the voltage v(t) (the voltage across the
inductor) in circuit 2 (note that v(t) is voltage in the time domain. Assume
f=60Hz)

3. Determine the reactance needed to be added to a load connected
to a load connected to a 480 VACrms source in order to bring the
power factor to 1. The power absorbed by the load is 2kW and the initial load
power factor is 0.5 lagging.

Also determine the current in the power factor adjusted
load, neglecting any line impedance and assuming the source voltage phasor has
an angle of 0 degrees.

4. Find the RMS current Io in circuit 3.
