DB 5: A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains.

To participate in this whole class discussion forum, you must first view the documentary film, A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains. In the previous module, you discussed some of the challenges faced by social workers in rural areas where services may not be available. This week, you will address the same issues, but in the context of rural Appalachia. How you would intervene in the lives of the individuals presented in this film? What are the prevailing issues that these individuals have to contend with and what interventions and services would you recommend for them? Again, be creative and you don’t need to base this on literature or base it on a theoretical framework.
