Cover letter and Resume
When preparing your assignment, keep in mind it must be for a logistics position. A copy of the job advertisement must be included. And I am not looking for a “cookie cutter” re’sume’ and cover letter. As you must know by now, all of these must be tailored to the position that is advertised. This means both technical and soft skills, with particular emphasis on the latter. It also means making you stand out from the rest of the crowd (those submitting applications for the same position who use the run of the mill templates available on M/S Word and other sites. And yes, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other mechanics of writing count! If you remember nothing else from this exercise, keep in mind that your cover letter is most times making the first impression of you to prospective employers. And yes, they must be specific to the company they are sent to.
