Concept map of science education pedagogy
This task involves the construction of a concept map that only uses the concepts listed below. From the list of concepts choose 10 concepts to construct your map; no other concepts may be used.
To construct your concept map electronically can readily be done using suitable software:
• Word or PowerPoint can be used. However, it can be time consuming in terms of constructing boxes for concepts and arrows to indicate the direction of the proposition.
• Free software called CmapTools allows the user to just add the concepts and propositions in constructing the map (boxes and arrows are automatically constructed). Just google CmapTools to download this software.
• Software program called INSPIRATION has a 30-day trial allows the user to easily construct the map by just inserting the concepts and propositions. Just Google Inspiration software to download the software.
Continue the process of adding concepts to your concept map until there are none left in your selected 10 concepts. Some concepts will have multiple links while others might only have one link. You might like to show the more significant concepts centrally and less significant concepts around the edge of the map.
