Computer Lab: Test Hypothesis With Independent t Test

Computer Lab: Test Hypothesis With Independent t Test

you will conduct a t test and demonstrate the use of confidence intervals. Complete the following:

Use the SPSS file HollisSumGenderSAQ (Item 3 Reversed), given in the resources.
Conduct an independent t test using the null hypothesis. given that there is no significant difference in SPSS anxiety by gender. The researcher has assumed that the individual questions are equally weighted with equal distances between each of the scale points and can use a parametric test, if the assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variance are met.
Complete the following:State whether the Sum variable satisfies the assumption of normality. Explain and provide evidence.
State the null hypothesis describing the relationship between age and number of cell calls per day.
State whether the distributions of male and female anxiety scores satisfy the assumption of homogeneity of variance. Explain and provide evidence.
Report the test statistic calculated using a level of significance of .05. Be sure to use appropriate APA sixth edition style in text writing.
Explain what decision was made.
Demonstrate that the use of a confidence interval leads to the same statistical conclusion as the null hypothesis significance test approach.
See the document t-Test Independent Samples (given in the resources) for independent samples t test screenshot example.
Use G*Power to calculate the power of the post-hoc test.Hint for SPSS calculation: Gender is the grouping factor.
Attach the saved SPSS output file as YourLastName6.spv in your private folder.
Prepare a one-page Word document summarizing your analysis of the above components, formatted as per APA sixth edition style guidelines.
Save the file as YourLastName6.docx and attach it in your private folder.
State your decision to reject or not reject the null hypothesis of no difference in SPSS anxiety by gender at the 0.05 level of significance in the comment box.
