The Gospel Message
Marquis Kennedy
- 1.In our culture, the Christian gospel is perceived as the best way for a person to live.
2 Corinthians 5:8
- There are also those who have not attempted to read the bible just because they choose not to. Another reason for why people choose not to believe is because of their home environment. Some families have different beliefs and some do not choose to put faith into any religion at all.
- There are those who reject the Christian gospel for emotion reasons, such as those who may have had bitter experiences in life. Life isn’t always kind to everyone, and this can heavily impact their decision on whether or not to follow the Christian way. There are those whose lives are quite cruel, and some of those people believe that since life has been so unfair to them, why should they believe in something such as Christianity? They may question what God has done for them lately.
- Some specific intellectual reasons that people may reject the Christian gospel is because some people think immensely about some religions and when they come to something that they don’t understand, they feel that they shouldn’t support what doesn’t make sense to them. There are a lot of things in the bible that don’t exactly make sense to the person reading, and so they usually have to back to reread to figure out its meaning. These people sometimes give up because it doesn’t make sense to them.
- One thing that Christians can do is not push their religion on others. I’ve seen too many people try to push Christianity on those that do not believe, and that only pushes them further away from being a believer.
