Assess the advantages and disadvantages of custom as a source of international law
Learning Outcomes Assessed
(1) Consolidate and extend a systematic and coherent body of knowledge relating to the
sources and distinctive nature of International Law and its relation to international politics
and state practice.
Assessment Criteria
(1) The student is expected to demonstrate clear understanding of the nature of
international law particularly with regard to its various sources.
(2) The student is expected to demonstrate critical engagement with the relevant course
material as well as the capacity to provide substantive critical commentary of their own.
(3) The student is expected to utilise appropriate sources and demonstrate research skills
commensurate with the standards of a third year student.
