An annotated bibliography | Reliable Papers

An annotated bibliography provides a brief account of the available research on a given topic. It is a list of research sources that includes concise descriptions and evaluations of each source. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON TOPIC : The social impacts of pornography. Focus your research around literature relating to your chosen topic. Your annotated bibliography must contain three (3) annotated entries (around 250 words each) based on three (3) academic sources related to the topic (i.e. one entry per source). The Swinburne University of Technology library is a great resource to help you with research and can be accessed through Blackboard. In your annotated bibliography, ensure that you: • Select articles that are relevant to your chosen topic. • Select reliable sources of information (e.g. academic journals, book chapters). Do not use Wikipedia. • Utilise the Harvard referencing style to note the bibliographic details of your selected texts. . Each annotation should: • Provide a brief summary of the core idea of the source. NOTE: This does not mean copying the article’s abstract. • Evaluate the reliability of the source and critically analyse the text (e.g. strengths and limitations, any methodological issues, quality of evidence used, credibility of argument). • Demonstrate the usefulness of the article to the focus question.
