Is there a difference between men and women in their willingness to communicate with friends?
For this assignment, each student must provide the following:
- Identify the independent and dependent variable in the research question.
- Identify the level of data for each variable in the research question.
- Indicate which statistical procedure you decided to use to analyze the data related to your research question.
- Print a copy of the results of your statistical test that is produced by SPSS.
- From that printout, indicate the following information based on the statistical test you used for analysis:
Chi-Square: Is there a significant difference between the observed and
expected frequencies?
t Test: Is there a significant difference between the means of the two groups
of the independent variable? Is there a significant difference in the
variance of each group?
ANOVA: Is there a significant difference between the groups of the
independent variable? Which specific groups, if any, are
significantly different?
Correlation: What is the correlation coefficient? What is the coefficient of
determination (You will have to calculate this yourself)?
Regression: What is the correlation coefficient? How much will the
dependent variable vary for every unit change in the independent variable?
- A short statement answering the research question. Make sure you support your conclusions with your analysis.
