Is there a difference between men and women in their willingness to communicate with friends？

For this assignment, each student must provide the following:

 

1. Identify the independent and dependent variable in the research question.

 

2. Identify the level of data for each variable in the research question.

 

3. Indicate which statistical procedure you decided to use to analyze the data related to your research question.

 

4. Print a copy of the results of your statistical test that is produced by SPSS.

 

5. From that printout, indicate the following information based on the statistical test you used for analysis:

 

Chi-Square: Is there a significant difference between the observed and

expected frequencies?

 

t Test: Is there a significant difference between the means of the two groups

of the independent variable?  Is there a significant difference in the

variance of each group?

 

ANOVA:  Is there a significant difference between the groups of the

independent variable? Which specific groups, if any, are

significantly different?

 

Correlation:        What is the correlation coefficient?  What is the coefficient of

determination (You will have to calculate this yourself)?

 

Regression:  What is the correlation coefficient?  How much will the

dependent variable vary for every unit change in the                                                                      independent variable?

 

6. A short statement answering the research question. Make sure you support your conclusions with your analysis.
